5 day Masterclass The Hague School

From Monday 2 until Friday October 6, Marco Krauwinkel will give a 5-day Masterclass "The Hague School" with the founder of the Hague School as the main theme

Willem Roelofs.

 

Amsterdam 1822 – 1897 Berchem

Willem Roelofs is one of the most important representatives of the Hague School, the painters who introduced impressionism in the Netherlands around 1860. In his career as an artist he has undergone great development, from a classical romantic painter to a true impressionist.

 

Willem Roelofs Lived in Belgium for a large part of his life, but worked in the Netherlands. Willem Roelofs painted from nature and could often be found in and around The Hague, but also the Groene Hart (Alblasserwaard)

Structure of the Masterclass

 

Beforehand, theory and explanation will be given regarding the correct design of the landscape. 

The landscape will first be placed on the canvas in a frottis (light brown), then we will immediately further build up and develop the landscape in color.. 

Who is this Masterclass for??

For participants who would like to paint a landscape in an impressionistic manner based on the work of Willem Roelofs. The choice consists of the 2 paintings as shown.

Cost

The 5-day masterclass is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.mincluding all materials, lunch, tea and coffee. It is therefore not necessary to bring your own materials for the Masterclass, such as canvas, paint brushes, etc.

The costs are €725,- including VAT (excluding any overnight costs)

NB: For participants who are self-employed in the cultural sector, it is possible tofinancing available for all Masterclasses, lessons and workshops.
